My beloved brother-in-law, Floyd Herzog passed away July 18 in Johnson City, New York.
In 1960 when I travelled to Memphis to ask his sister Margaret to marry me, Floyd called home from the airport to say he had arrived and was ready to be picked up.
His mother, “Mama” said, “David is here, take the bus!” An inauspicious introduction. Despite being upstaged (the only time I ever managed it), we dropped the in-law and referred to ourselves as brothers for 52 years.

Floyd discovered a kindred spirit in grand-nephew,
Kaz (Floyd loved opera and Kaz has a set of lungs
any primo uomo would envy). October 2012
David, I am so sorry for your loss:(
